Building the Perfect Immune System

Building the Perfect Immune System

Did you know 70% of your immunity is located in your digestive system? Your digestive system breaks down food into smaller components, until they can be absorbed and assimilated into the body. To be clear, some of the foods that we are accustomed to eating aren’t even digestible thus causing strain on the body.

Irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, constipation, and leaky gut are just a few ailments associated with improper food digestion. Whether or not the immune system is at its peak depends on the healthiness of the digestive tract. This is why you see a lot of articles or even your Facebook friends, recommending things you can eat to build a healthy immune system. The digestive system/immune system is your body’s motherboard and the rest of your body can’t even connect to the mainframe without it being in tip-top shape.

Essentially, a virus can not survive if you’re taking proper care of your immune system on a daily basis. We did some research and found the top immune system supplements. I was happy to see that a lot of them I’ve already been taking on a regular basis. I only believe in consuming plant based medicines and, if nothing else, Covid-19 has confirmed that maintenance with plant based supplements is essential.

Without further ado Here’s a list of some key Immune boosting supplements:

  • Sage
  • Oregano Oil
  • Fennel
  • Basil
  • Peppermint
  • Lemon balm
  • Rosemary
  • Garlic
  • Echinacea
  • Licorice
  • Ginseng
  • Dandelion
  • Ginger
  • Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Colloidal Silver
  • Vitamin C
  • Hibiscus tea

I’d be remiss if on the contrary, I didn’t share things that really harm your immune system and disrupt your digestive tract. Take a look:

  • Processed food
  • High fructose corn syrup
  • Sugar
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Table salt (note: replace with himalayan pink salt)

Take charge of your immunity and really be mindful of the foods and supplements you consume -- also being mindful of the ones you shouldn't. It doesn’t take a lot to be strategic, plan out healthy meals and schedule your herbal supplement intake. To put this into proper perspective, it doesn’t make sense to wear a mask every time you’re in public, but then consume immunity destroying foods when you get home. Let’s flip the switch from being reactive to proactive because as  you now know...your immunity depends on it!
